Mission

Coaching Corps recruits, trains, and supports energetic community members to use sports to teach kids valuable life lessons and inspire them to reach their full potential. Their mission is to ensure that every child has access to high-quality coaching, regardless of their background or resources. By engaging coaches who are dedicated to empowering youth, Coaching Corps seeks to create a lasting impact in communities across the nation.

Solution

Coaching Corps faced significant challenges with their first Salesforce Experience Cloud implementation. The initial design lacked focus on user experience, integration, and performance, resulting in a portal that was difficult to navigate. Despite efforts to increase user traffic, the limited activity highlighted the need for improvements to better meet user needs.

ECHO partnered with Coaching Corps to reimagine the Coach portal using a user-centered design approach. We worked closely with Coaching Corps to identify the specific needs of the coaches and build a solution that addressed those needs effectively. The new portal seamlessly integrated the Coaching Corps website to enable coaches to view volunteer opportunities prior to signing up. We built a custom map component, allowing coaches to search and view nearby volunteer opportunities. Auto-enrollment for Community Groups was set up, so coaches could instantly participate in discussions with their peers. The portal was also integrated with Coaching Corps’ learning management system via single sign-on to provide easy access to training materials. Finally, the use of Lightning Community Builder streamlined the implementation process and ensured easier ongoing maintenance.

Results

The collaboration between ECHO and Coaching Corps led to improved user engagement and satisfaction:

  • 100% of coaches reported satisfaction with the ease of finding a team.
  • 89% of coaches were satisfied with the timeliness of connecting to their coaching site.
  • 88% of partners reported that coaches are fostering environments where learning can take place.
