ECHO-BPL Mobile App Redesign: A Cross-Platform Salesforce Integration Solution

Big Picture Learning needed a unified, reliable mobile app for Android and iOS to replace their outdated, hard-to-maintain solution. We delivered a cross-platform app using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) with full Salesforce integration, real-time data sync, and streamlined Apple/Google SSO authentication. The redesigned app simplified student lifecycle management with check-ins, timers, milestone tracking, opportunity search, mentor matching, notes, and reliable push notifications.

Big Picture Learning requested a complete mobile app redesign with full Salesforce integration for both Android and iOS apps, since the previous solution:

• Required separate maintenance for each platform

• Lacked consistent functionality

• Struggled with complex authentication flows (Apple/Google SSO)

• Had unreliable push notifications

• Made student data management cumbersome

We developed a cross-platform mobile application using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), enabling a single codebase to deliver native experiences on both Android and iOS. The app was fully integrated with Salesforce, providing real-time data synchronization and multi-instance login support, ensuring accurate and seamless access to student and opportunity information. Authentication was streamlined with Apple and Google SSO, offering secure token management and a smooth onboarding experience.

The redesigned app enhanced the student experience with check-in/out functionality, live timers, milestone tracking, rating systems, and progression badges. Opportunity management was improved with advanced search, filtering, wish list creation, and mentor selection. Collaboration and communication were simplified through note creation, editing, sharing, and integrated email support. Reliable push notifications across all app states ensure timely updates, creating a unified, engaging, and scalable platform for managing students and opportunities.
