Mission

Coaching Corps recruits, trains, and supports community members to use sports as a tool to teach kids valuable life lessons and inspire them to reach their full potential. They are dedicated to creating opportunities for underserved youth to engage in sports and education, empowering them to grow as individuals.

Solution

Coaching Corps faced significant challenges with their outdated fundraising database, which had a clunky and unintuitive user interface. Generating reports or mailing lists from the system required manual data manipulation in Excel, leading to hours of extra work. As a result, staff members were maintaining multiple separate spreadsheets and engaging in redundant data entry, causing inefficiency and increased risk of errors.

To address these challenges, Coaching Corps partnered with ECHO Technology Solutions to implement Salesforce’s Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). This project aimed to centralize and streamline all of Coaching Corps' development data and reporting within Salesforce.

The solution included installing the latest version of NPSP and converting their Salesforce instance to the Household model, which helped organize donor information more effectively. ECHO migrated over ten years of historical donor data into Salesforce and built evergreen reports and dashboards for ongoing performance tracking. The solution also involved creating an online donation form integrated with Form Assembly and Stripe and automating acknowledgment letters using Conga Composer.

Results
  • Reduced time needed to process a gift from 30 minutes to just 5 minutes (on average)
  • Cut the time required to run reports and generate mailing lists from 4 hours to 30 minutes (on average)
  • Increased flexibility for Coaching Corps in managing grant deliverables and events
