September is here, which means the newschool year is well under way. At ECHO, we decided to kick the year off with a specialBack to School tECHO talks event. Our friends from MV Code Club joined usSaturday, August 29 to teach adults about on-line safety and security and togive kids a 45-minute coding lesson.
The day could not have beenbetter! For those present, we were so delighted and honored to have you andyour families join us for this fun, educational event—filled with great foodand good weather.
We hope you picked up a fewhelpful tips about how to keep your kids safe online, particularly when itcomes to social media sites, using Google apps and gaming. We did our best toanswer all your questions, but if you still have any concerns—feel free tocheck in with us any time, and we’ll do our best to get you the answers youneed.
And we loved having your kidsat our office! Their energy is awesome. It’s our belief that digital literacyneeds to start at an early age. By increasing our kids’ awareness, knowledge andcomfort with technology, it allows them to make better decisions about how tokeep themselves safe online.
For those of you that missed the event, avideo version of the online safety and security portion is available here.
We hope to see you all again at our nexttECHO talk, stay tuned for more information!
