How to get all you need from your internet connectivity without spending major $$$$$?

SD WAN is an acronym for Software Defined Wide Area Network, which in the simplest terms can be defined as a centralized software-defined approach that helps manage and direct traffic across a Wide Area Network. I will not go deep into explaining what SD-WAN is, as that is information readily available at your fingertips in the form of several informative online articles and blogs.

However, I do want to explain why you should implement SD-WAN in your organization. As everybody is migrating most of their business systems to the cloud, SD WAN is the way to go. It is the solution built in the cloud for the cloud. Here are some key benefits of implementing a SD-WAN in your organization:

  • SD WAN will dynamically manage and prioritize your network traffic/bandwidth. So, when Joe is downloading a very large file from a web site, it will not impact the quality of Cathy’s call or video conference impact with a major donor.
  • SD WAN will automatically fail-over and recover when your internet connection goes down so you or your employees can get back to doing work online with little or no delay.
  • SD WAN is good for security, it was built with the security in mind. Many benefits here. A simple but highly unique benefit that is present in the SD-WAN of our choice, Sproute, is that it enables Virtual Private Networks, allowing all your employees to connect securely to all your systems, regardless of their physical location. This is a great advantage and not very common with other SD-WAN solutions.
  • SD WANs will secure all traffic between your employees, on premise applications and cloud applications is secured.
  • Finally, SD WAN is extremely affordable to implement and manage, making it’s ROI a simple no brainer. It simply gives you everything you need and want almost free.

Are those reasons enough for you to want to go down the SD-WAN route? If yes, we are here to help. For the month of March, ECHO will be partnering with Sproute Networks.
